Trouble Shooting and Installation Guide 

Checklist for Trouble Shooting of Angel Diet:

1). Invalid Parameter
Solution:
Invalid ‘’Parameter Error’’ persist due to following possible reasons. 
1) Check if Host name (trade2.angeltrade.com) is resolved through clients ISP. 

2) Check if the port 80 is open.  

3) Check if the latest Odin Diet new patches are not updated for that simply login to Angel 
    Diet through Angel PDA. 

4) Check if in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ODIN > ODIN 6 >ODIN       Diet Client >Defaults>EnableSingleInterface value data is 1 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE       > SOFTWARE > ODIN >ODIN 6 >ODIN Diet Client > Defaults> ChartServerIp is updated         which is (trade2.angeltrade.com/AngeltradeDiet).

5) Check if the Client Code is properly synchronized on Admin terminal.  

6) Check if the Proper SSL Certificate is updated on client system.  To check the same, just       login to Angel Diet using Angel PDA. 



2). Check connection busy error (Check Connection Integrity): 
Solution:
1) Check Network link, for that click on Start, Click on Run.
  
2) Type the ping interactive IP the Angel Diet Manager of your respective region such as ping  
    xxx.xxx.xx.xxx –t & Click on ok.  

3) If message shown is “Request Time Out”, then check following :‐ 
            • Check whether internet browsing is possible in internet explorer.
            • If not, then check following :‐ 
                   • Check  Modem  or  LAN  Card  Settings  in  control  panel  =>  system  =>                            device  manager  & Check  the  driver  of  Modem  &  LAN  card.  If  it’s                                  unavailable,  then  install  the  modem  or LAN card drivers. After installation                            start Odin and check for the error.  
                   • If  the  error  still  Persists,  Please  Check  if  any  Firewall,  or  Proxy  server                        is  Installed  on the system, or Windows Firewall is on. Incase if you need                              Firewall please, bypass Odin in the Exception List.  
                   • Incase Proxy server or Client is installed on your system, Odin will not run. To                        run Diet Properly you require normal internet connection.  


3). Logon Process did not complete. 
Solution:
1) This problem arises if Angel diet is not installed properly. Pls. uninstall & install latest  
    Angel Diet version using Angel PDA for resolving the same issue. 

2) Run the vcredist_x86.exe file 

4). Attempt to connect to the server failed.
Solution:
1) Check Network link, for that click on Start, Click on Run.
  
2) Type  the  ping  interactive  IP  the  Angel  Diet  Manager  of  your  respective  region  such     as  ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx –t & Click on ok.
  
3) If message shown is “Request Time Out”, then check the following:‐ 
            • Check whether internet browsing is possible in internet explorer  
            • If not, then check following :‐ 
                   • Check  Modem  or  LAN  Card  Settings  in  control  panel  =>  system  =>                            device manager  &  Check  the  driver  of  Modem  &  LAN  card.  If  it’s                                  unavailable,  then install  the  modem  or  LAN  card  drivers. After installation 
                     start Odin and check for the error.
  
4) If  the  error  still  Persists,  Please  Check  if  any  Firewall,  or  Proxy  server  is  Installed
    on the  system, or Windows Firewall is on. Incase if you need Firewall, please bypass Odin
    in the Exception List.
  
5) Incase  Proxy  server  or  Client  is  installed on  your  system,  Odin  will  not  run.  To
    run Diet  Properly you require normal internet connection.  


5). Host Name Resolving Problem.
Solution:
1) Pls.  make  sure  that  you  are  getting  telnet  &  ping  response  to  the  DNS  of
    interactive Server  &   Broadcast Server, in case if you are not getting the same pls.
    check following:‐   
            • If  any  Firewall,  or  Proxy  server  is  Installed  on  the  system  or  Windows
              Firewall is  on. Incase  if you need Firewall please pls. bypass the interactive &                       Broadcast server IPs from it. 
            • Even after that the same  problem comes you need to check if there is any problem                 from the ISPs end for resolving the same you can take the help of Product
              Support Team at CSO. 

6). Stuck on Download Statistics 
Solution:
1) Check Network link for that click on Start, Click on Run.
  
2) Type  the  ping  interactive  IP  the  Angel  Diet  Manager  of  your  respective  region  such     as  ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx –t & Click on ok.

3) If message shown is “Request Time Out”, then check following :‐ 
            • Check whether internet browsing is possible in internet explorer.  
             If not, then  check the following :‐ 
                   • Check  Modem  or  LAN  Card  Settings  in  control  panel  =>  system  =>                            device manager  &  Check  the  driver  of  Modem  &  LAN  card.  If  it’s                                  unavailable,  then install the modem or LAN card drivers. After installation start
                     Odin and check for the error.  
                   • If  the  error  still  Persists,  Please  Check  if  any  Firewall,  or  Proxy  server                        is  Installed on  the  system,  or  Windows  Firewall  is  on.  Incase  if  you need
                     Firewall please, bypass Odin in the Exception List.  
                   • In  case  Proxy  server  or  Client  is  installed on  your  system,  Odin  will  not                      run. To run Diet Properly you require normal internet connection.  


7). 52Week High Low issue
Solution:
1) To resolve this issue pls. delete all the files which are present in c:\odin\diet\bhavcopy.
  
2) To install the fresh bhav copy files the client need to keep his Angel Diet logged in    
    Between 3.30 PM till 4.30 PM

3) Once the latest bhav copy is properly installed in the clients system the client will be able
    to See 52 week high low. 


8). Integrated Net Position, M2M Issue, Stock Watch Issue
Solution:
1) To solve this problem please Login to Angel Diet through Angel PDA. Angel PDA will make  
    the necessary settings in the registry.  

9). Login incorrect‐ No corresponding Entry found (logon to Server): 
Solution:
1) Check the Client ID & password in Login.
  
2) Contact Admin to check your Client ID & Password.  


10). Error Message shown as ‘Number of Failed login attempts exceeds maximum             allowed. Contact administrator ( logon to Server)’
Solution:
1) This  message  comes  due  to  invalid  password  entered  in  the  Password  field.  Diet         allows  you  3 times  usage  of  wrong  password.  In  case  if  you  exceed  the  said
    limit, it locks  your  Client  ID  for security reason.
  
2) To  overcome  this  issue  contact  Admin  to  unlock  your  password,  the clients  can
    also use  the Forgot Password Link available in Angel Diet to Automatically reset there           Password.  


11). User already connected (logon to server): 
Solution:
1) Check if you have properly logged off from the previous session. If not, then log off properly.
  
2) Check if any another user is using your Client ID.
  
3) Contact Admin to Suspend & Active your account for Re‐login  


12). Invalid password ( logon to server): 
Solution:
1) Type the correct password.  
2) If  you  have  forgotten  the  password,  contact  Admin  to  Reset  Your  Password  or
   you  can  also  use the Forgot Password Link available in Angel Diet to automatically reset
   the Password. 


13). User is Able to Connect But Rates are not flashing on the page:
Solution:
1) Click  on  My  Computer  =>  C:\drive  =>  Odin  =>  Diet  =>  Masters.  In  that  please
    check that  all Masters  Files  are  present.  If  not  please  Login  to  Angel  Diet  through
    Angel PDA.  Angel  PDA  will ask  you  to  install  today’s  Masters  which  you  need  to
    install after  that  you can  login  to  Angel Diet.
  
2) If the same problem continues to persist please check your speed of internet connection.  


14). Unable to add Sauda: 
Solution:
1) Check the Masters file is updated.

2) Check if particular market segments rights is assigned. 

3) Check if client is having trading limits. 


15). Rates are not Refreshing:  
Solution:
1) Check whether internet browsing is possible in internet explorer. If not then check
    following :‐ 
           • Check Modem or LAN Card Settings in control panel => system => device manager                & check the driver  of  Modem  &  LAN  card.  If  it’s  unavailable,  then  install  the                  modem  or  LAN  card  drivers connect to the Odin Manager.  
           • Click  on  Start,  Click  on  Run,  type  “telnet  diet.angelbolt.com  80”,  please
             check if  junk  Data  is coming  in  a  small  window,  If  it’s  coming  please  Run  the
             master file  on  www.angeltrade.comIf Junk data is not coming. 
           • Please call your ISP (Internet Service provider) & ask him to open the required port                  for telnet.  


16). Script Not available: 
Solution:
1) To  solve  this  problem  please  Login  to  Angel  Diet  through  Angel  PDA.  Angel  PDA       will  make  the necessary settings in the registry.  


17). Failed to Load Odin6bcastdll.dll: 
Solution:
1) To  solve  this  problem  please  Login  to  Angel  Diet  through  Angel  PDA.  Angel  PDA       will  make  the necessary settings in the registry. 


18). Script mass Error: 
Solution:
1) To  solve  this  problem  please  Login  to  Angel  Diet  through  Angel  PDA.  Angel  PDA       will  make  the necessary settings in the registry.  


19). Profiles are not available: 
Solution:
1) To  solve  this  problem,  please  Login  to  Angel  Diet  through  Angel  PDA.  Angel  PDA       will  make  the necessary settings in the registry.  


20). “Client is Required” Message: 
Solution:
1) To solve this problem, delete Odin folder from C:\, and also delete the Odin folder from             Registry, then reinstall Angel Diet.  


21). Market Type Not Known:  
Solution:
1) To  solve  this  problem,  please  click  on  Start  =>  Run,  type  Regedit.  In  that  goto 
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  =>  Software  =>  ODIN  =>  ODIN6  =>  Odin  Diet  Client
    => Configuration, right  click  on  it,  now  change  the  name  to  Configurationold,  and
    click on ok.  &  exit  from  Registry & Re‐login to Diet. 


22). ‘Path Variable Not Set In Registry’ Message:
Solution:  
1) To  solve  this  problem  please  Login  to  Angel  Diet  through  Angel  PDA.  Angel  PDA       will  make  the necessary settings in the registry.  


23). A Particular Month Does Not Reflect In NSE future/MCX Future or NCDEX Future 
Solution:  
1) To  solve  this  problem  please  check  the  Date/  Time/  Time  Zone  option  in  the 
    Taskbar  or  in Control Panel please configure the proper Date/ Time/ Time Zone in it.  

2) Check the Masters file. 


24). Automatically Logs Off When One Clicks On Market Watch:
Solution:  
1) To  solve  this  problem  please  Check  the  Date/  Time/  Time  Zone  Option  in  the             Taskbar  or  in Control Panel, please configure the proper Date/ Time/ Time Zone in it.  




25). Automatically Logs Off When One Clicks On Nifty or Sensex Graph : 
Solution:  
1) To  solve  this  problem,  please  click  on  My  Computer,  in  that  click  on  Odin  =>
    Diet  =>  Workspace.
  
2) Please delete the .CRP file in it.  

3) Re‐login to Diet.  


26). “Odin 95 Had Encountered an Error and will be closed Down” Error message is             shown:
Solution:  
1) Please delete Angel Diet from Desktop, C:\Odin Folder.

2) Go to registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software, delete the Odin folder.
  
3) Go  to  control  panel  &  stop  the  service  'Administrative  tools  \  services  \  Routing
    and  Remote Access'.  Then in service status, click on Start &then on stop and then on
    OK.  

4) Kindly install the current Angel Diet set‐up using Angel PDA.




27). NSE Nifty Rate Does Not Refresh Also NSE Futures Scripts Not Present: 
Solution:  
1) Go  to  Start  =>  Run.  Type  Regedit  &  Click  on  ok.  In  Registry  Editor,  Click  on 
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  \  software  \  Odin  \  Odin6  \  Odin  Diet  Client  \  Defaults,
    and Double  click on  AllowDervBcast.  Put  the  Value  ‘1’  instead  of  ‘0’,  click  on  ok.
    In  case, if  you  are using  Angel Diet Version 9.1.0.5, you may find 2 options. Please
    put ‘1’ value in both of them.
  
2) After  that  logon  to  Angel  Diet  using  Angel  PDA,  pls.  make  sure  that  you  are
    using latest  Masters through Angel PDA before login to Angel Diet.   


28). Issue while doing online ‘’Fund Transfer’’:
Solution:  
1) Pls.  login  through  Angel  PDA‐  Generally  this  issue  occurs  if  proper  SSL  certificate
    is not  installed on clients PC. PDA will take care for installing proper SSL in the clients
    PC.

2) Pls.  make  sure  that  the  particular  banks  net  banking  facility  is  working  properly
    on that  day, incase if you find any abnormality in it pls. contact Product Support Team
    for the same. 


29). Issue while funds are not getting updated while ‘’Funds View’’:
Solution:  
1) Pls. login through Angel PDA – generally this issue occurs if proper SSL  certificate is
    not installed on clients PC. PDA will take care for installing proper SSL in the clients
    PC.

2) Even  by  installing  the  certificate,  if  you  are  still  getting  the  same  problem  pls.
    reinstall Internet Explorer on the client PC. 


30). Password Expired
Solution:  
1) As  per  the  compliance  norms,  the  client  needs  to  change  his  Password  on  his
    first login  & afterwards he needs to change the password after every 15 days. This
    message will flash in both the condition, the client just needs to change his/her 
    password once he gets this Message.  


31). Authentication URL is not valid
Solution:  
1) Pls. login through Angel PDA – generally this issue occurs if proper SSL  certificate is
    not installed on clients PC. PDA will take care for installing proper SSL in the clients
    PC.

2) Pls. make sure that  the Single interface  function is working properly at clients side,
    incase Single interface is not working at client side this problem will arise. 


32). Loading Future Instrument Failed
Solution:  
1) Go  to  Start  =>  Run.  Type  Regedit  &  Click  on  ok.  In  Registry  Editor,  Click  on 
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  \  software  \  Odin  \  Odin6  \  Odin  Diet  Client  \  Defaults,
    and Double  click on  AllowDervBcast.  Put  the  Value  ‘1’  instead  of  ‘0’,  click  on  ok.
    In  case, if  you  are using  Angel Diet  Version  9.1.0.5,  you  may  find  2  options.
    Please  put  ‘1’ value  in  both  of  them.  Masters through Angel PDA before login to
    Angel Diet.
   
2) After  that  logon  to  Angel  Diet  using  Angel  PDA,  pls.  make  sure  that  you  are
    using latest  Masters through Angel PDA before login to Angel Diet.    


33). MSWINSCK.OCX Error
Solution:
1) To  solve  this  problem,  please  Login  to  Angel  Diet  through  Angel  PDA,  Angel
    PDA will  make  the necessary settings in the registry.

2) This  problem  arises  if  MSWIN.OCX  file  is  not  properly  registered  in  the  system.
    You can  register this  file  manually  as  well  for  the  same  you  can go  to  Start
    Run regsvr32c:\windows\system32\mswinsck.ocx  


34). Unable to create Chat Message file.
Solution:  
1) This  problem  arises  due  to  overflow  of  files  in  the  chat  folder  in  c:\odin\diet.
    To resolve  this problem  pls.  delete  all  chat  files  present  in  chat  folder.  Pls.
    take  the backup  of  these  files  in another folder before deleting these file to avoid
    any issues further.  


35). Installation Method of Angel Diet 
Solution: In Windows 2000, Windows XP 
1) To  install  Angel  Diet  in  your  system  you  need  to
    go www.angeltrade.com/downloads.aspx  in that click on Angel PDA & install Angel
    PDA.

2) After  that  click  on  the  Angel  PDA  icon  which  is  present  on  desktop.  Pls.  put
    your client  Code  in Angel  PDA  &  click  on  enter. PDA  will  analyze  clients  PC  &
    as  per his  client  code  it  will  install appropriate Angel Diet exe & Masters on clients
    PC.

In Windows Vista 
1) Save  the  Angel  PDA  exe  file  on  the  desktop.  Right  click  on  the  icon  and  choose
    the option  “Run as Administrator”.
2) PDA  will  analyze  clients  PC  &  as  per  his  client  code  it  will  install  appropriate
    Angel Diet  exe  & Masters on clients PC. 


Checklist for Troubleshooting iNet.Net  

36). Prerequisite for iNet.Net: 
Solution:  
1) Windows 2000 With Service pack 4
  
2) Windows XP with Service Pack 2/Windows Vista
   
3) V.M Java, is Available on www.angeltrade.com
  
4) Internet Explorer 6.0 is Available on www.angeltrade.com   


37). INet.Net Stuck on Submit when user Types his Username & Password 
Solution:  

1) Install above if it’s not installed in your PC. If your system runs on Windows 2000,
    please install service pack 4. If on windows XP, please install service pack 2.0

2) Install V.M Java & Internet Explorer 6.0

3) After that to make necessary settings pls.  go to 
   URL “www.angeltrade.com/downloads.aspx”. Click on Angel PDA & install Angel
   PDA.

4) After that click on the Angel PDA icon which is present on desktop, pls. enter your
   client Code in Angel PDA & click on enter. PDA will analyze clients PC & as per his
   client code it will make necessary settings for Angel Trade. 



Checklist for Troubleshooting Angel Anywhere  


38). Prerequisite for Angel Anywhere:
Solution:  
1) Windows 2000 With Service pack 4
  
2) Windows XP with Service Pack 2/ Windows Vista
   
3) V.M Java available on www.angeltrade.com  


39). Disconnected to Null’ Message when One clicks on Market Watch Solution 
Solution:  
1) Check the internet connectivity, if it’s working properly by opening internet web pages.
  
2) Delete unwanted scripts in Market Watch. Work on minimum required scripts.
  
3) Click  on  View  menu,  click  on  Diagnostics,  in  that  check  whether  receiving
    packets  & sending packets  are  available  or  not.  If  not  available contact  your
    ISP (Internet Solution Provider)  to check for proper internet connectivity.  


40). ‘Server Not Responding’ Message When Trying to Connect.  
Solution:  
1) Please  ensure  that  you  are  using  the  latest  version  of  Angel  Anywhere.  To
    install  it  in your system    you need to go on URL “www.angeltrade.com/downloads.aspx”.
    In that click on Angel PDA & install Angel PDA.

2) After  that  click  on  the  Angel  PDA  icon  which  is  present  on  desktop, pls.  put
    your client  Code  in Angel  PDA  &  click  on  enter,  PDA  will  analyze  clients  PC  &
    as  per his  client  code  it  will  install appropriate  Angel Anywhere exe on clients PC.
    Even after login to the new exe  please check  the following. 
            • Check  whether  internet  browsing  is possible  in  internet  explorer.  
            • If  not  then  check following :‐  
                   • Check  Modem  or  LAN  Card  Settings  in  control  panel  \  system  \  device                      manager  & check  the driver of Modem & LAN  card. If it  is unavailable install                        the modem  or LAN card drivers. After that start anywhere.  
                   • If  the problem  continues  to  persists,  please  check  if  any  Firewall,
                     or Proxy  server  is installed on the system or Windows Firewall is on. Incase if                      you need Firewall please bypass Angel Anywhere in the Exception List.  
                   • Incase  Proxy  server  or  Client  is  installed  on  your  system  Angel
                     Anywhere will  not Work.  To  work  Angel  Anywhere  properly  you  require
                     normal internet  connection without firewall.  


41). Installation Method of Angel Anywhere: 
Solution:  
1) Please Go to Internet Explorer, in that type www.angeltrade.com, please click on 
    Downloads. In Miscellaneous \ VM Java.exe, please save it on desktop. After that
    double click on the setup file & complete it as per the instructions. This setup will ask
    you to restart your computer, please restart your computer.
  
2) To install it in your system    you need to go on www.angeltrade.com/downloads.aspx
    in that click on Angel PDA & install Angel PDA.

3) After  that  click  on  the  Angel  PDA  icon  which  is  present  on  desktop,  pls.  put
    your client  Code  in Angel  PDA  &  click  on enter.  PDA  will  analyze  clients  PC  &
    as  per his client  code  it  will  install appropriate Angel Anywhere exe on clients PC.
    Even after login to the new exe please check the following;

4) Please Login to Angel Anywhere.
  
    

Checklist for Trouble shooting Angel PDA 


1). In Login window after entering the client code when they click “Enter” after
     that same login window pops up and PDA gets stuck without any error.
Solution: 
• Check Ping and Telnet for PDA Server (203.199.13.174 Port 80)
• Switch Port Using Angel PDA Preferences Options 




2). User does not exist in system even though they are active in Admin. 
Solution:  
• Call PDA Team and ask them to add client code.  


3). Sometimes PDA is stuck without any error after clicking on Short cut of PDA
Solution:  
• Check Ping and Telnet for PDA Server (203.199.13.174 Port 80) 
• Switch Port Using Angel PDA Preferences Options


4). Clients complain that when they login through PDA, Message is shown as                    “masters are not updated”; even though they login several times in a day. 
Solution: 
• Check Client System Date time   


5). Some  time  clients  complain  that  whenever  they  log  out  and  again  log‐in
     from AngelPDA it will again download master file. (Which is not necessary) 
Solution: 
 Check Client System Date time 


6). It takes 10 to 15 min to open the PDA. 
Solution: 
• Check Ping and Telnet for PDA Server (203.199.13.174 Port 80) 
• Switch Port Using Angel PDA Preferences Options 


7). Some  times  after  entering  the  client  code  in  application,  PDA  is  Stuck.
     No otherprocess running automatically. 
Solution: 
• Check Ping and Telnet for PDA Server (203.199.13.174 Port 80) 


8). Sometimes PDA gets automatically stuck during the installation and no error
     given.
Solution: 
• Switch Port Using Angel PDA Preferences Options
